I'd like to nominate "Bits and Pieces" for the Silliest Name Award. At first glance, it sounds like a cute game aimed at kids, like "Nuts & Milk" or "Ice Climbers". I imagine it's only competition here on the Action 52 is with "Time Warp Ticklers", which unfortunately, we haven't covered yet..
"Bits and Pieces" is a horror-themed.. something. I don't even know what genre to stuff this in. It's not a platformer, since there are no platforms. It's not a fighter, because there are no punches, kicks or weapons. This game attempts to cross the mood of Castlevania with the attack style of Super Mario Bros.
Actually, I've just given the biggest secret in the game away just then -- since there is no health bar, or unique indicator that you've taken damage or successfully defeated an enemy. Yes, I guess I'm admitting that I spent about five minutes jumping over everything in my path, wondering why the game wasn't advancing.
Anyway, in Bits and Pieces, Bits The Ghoul lost a bet to Dracula over who has been undead the longest, and now Bits must make his way back to the mash to tell the Bride of Frankenstein that she hot. Also, his friends the wolfmen, skeletons, and lizardmen can't help but tear him apart. It was harder than you might think to end that with something other than, "to pieces".
Also, I'm pretty sure someone managed to sneak a pair of titties into the background.
