Hey everyone,

Seeing as it's been a year since the last legitimate forum user registration and some 200+ posts, the Gamescrap Forums are offline due to lack of interest and too much spam. Hopefully one day there will be demand for a Gamescrap community, but for now, forums are nothing but a commodity. Thanks to everyone for their support at some time or another!

In the meantime, you can still browse the forums to see the hit-and-miss banter of Misstygerlile and myself as well as some of the folks that registered when Gamescrap first began. Special thanks to Misstygerlile for single-handedly keeping the forums running for this long. Thank goodness for Guitar Hero, or else I wouldn't know what she'd do with herself!

All is not lost when it comes to user participation, howeever! Gamescrap still features an awesome little comment system where you can leave your feedback on the blogs that will take a much bigger role in the site in the upcoming year. Feel free to make yourself heard there, it's just better for everyone involved ;).

Until next time!

badkarma3.jpgGuilty pleasures – everyone’s got them. Some people like food play, others think it to be their birthright to defend negative Battle Hunter reviews on YouTube. My guilty pleasures, however, are a little harder to admit as gamers in general can totally be a unforgiving sort; but I thought I would tackle my inhibitions much like I overcame my stage fright at one of those men’s urinals that don't have dividers, I’m going to take it head on.

It might be expected that a guy who runs a site devoted to bad games would have a game collection of AAA titles and only play games by Miyamoto or Kojima. It’s totally not true. I’m just as guilty as anyone else of playing my share of subpar games and enjoying them, believe it or not.

Pinkapalooza 2! Have you ever just wished you could use those mad Rock Band skills to become a real rock star who actually plays in front of a crowd of screaming fans and swooning chicks? Or would you rather just rock out to some chip tunes and hang out amongst some fellow gamers? Well here's your chance, and best of all, it all benefits the Child's Play charity. If you live in the Puget Sound area, mark Wednesday 12/10 on your calendar for Pinkapalooza 2 brought to you by Pink Godzilla Seattle's, nay, the country's greatest import gaming store. Read on for all of the details!

action52.jpg Hey everyone, I know it's been a bit, but it's been worth it. I'm totally happy to finally say that the super huuuge project I've been working on is unveiled today! It's the Action 52, a collection of fifty-two of the worst NES games ever made. My buddy TheJuice and I started on this the moment the Gamescrap Battle Hunter article was posted, and have been working it ever since...sorta. It's been a huge task, but dammit, the internet needs an Action 52 article that doesn't suck. I think we're on our way to doing this for y'all.

We're not slouching either, take a gander at the front page yo. Two new updates to start up the Gamescrap Action 52 epic! The first is an introduction detailing the history and overall silliness of the cart itself as well as the folks who made it all possible. Did you know Active Enterprises touted 1991 the year of the Cheetah Men stating that they would be more popular than the Ninja Turtles by Christmas? Or how 'bout the fact the damn cart has been reported to overheat and melt in some cases? Oh yeah, did I also fail to mention there are fifty-two of the crappiest games ever on here too?

We hope everyone enjoys the golden age of an update a week for the next several months for the Action 52, as well as regular updates with some new horrible games. That means two a week or more in some cases! Holy crap!

Of course, I'll be here in the blog and especially the forums....so come by and say hi or something.

maybemyarm.jpg So I've been sitting here on Xbox Live for about thirty minutes in some vain attempt to catch some yummy Peace Sells... DLC for Rock Band when I came across possibly the coolest thing I think I have ever maybe never seen. The PAX 2008 track pack features a pic of the swarms of DS's during the Freezepop show with one lone person holding a lighter old school style.

cc4.jpg If you haven’t gotten the title, I was looking forward to the week of August 24th for a looooong time. Not only was it the week of PAX, but it was the week Castle Crashers was released…which kinda makes sense since I’ve played it at PAX for the past two damn years so I’m used to late August fueling my Castle Crashers fix. Now that the game is out and all is said and done, I thought it would be totally appropriate to write a small review of the game…to go back to my roots as a guy who only played a gaming journalist at E3.
